One of the toughest things for a lot of wedding photographers is directing the "models" when they aren't models and instead, well, real people. Contrary to popular belief, the essence of a model isn't about physical attractiveness, but about being representative of something. And when I'm there with a loving couple, I don't want them to represent anyone or anything. I would like them to just be the best versions of themselves, as real as it gets. Because when that happens, there's a magic that comes about that can only happen between them and that's what I'm there to capture.

Working with Jennifer and Vince is a great example. While I may have been directing them, they made it especially easy for me to act as a guide to help them show me what they already had, rather than a magician out to conjure up what wasn't there. I want to thank them for giving me a chance to peek in on those moments  when the sparks came out =)
