When Susanna mentioned the concept of a Tango-themed engagement shoot, I was all in. She and James had decided to go all in for their first dance and not only were they learning an elaborate tango routine for it, Susanna had a gorgeous dress tailored for it while James had a set of tails made for him.

 

I could only try to justify all that by staying with them far longer than most engagement shoots take and we ended up doing one portion during the day and then waiting for nightfall to take advantage of the ability to roam around DTLA. It was a cold night, but having each other for warmth kept everyone in good spirits. All that effort was worth it in the end because the photos came out fantastic. The dramatic but fun, exactly as I was aiming for!
